A little bit about me
Hi. I'm Mathilde. The owner here at the Soulful Studio. I am a creative soulful entrepreneur and I created this space for women who are navigating the heavy weight of being chronically tired, physically disconnected, and burdened by the lack of clarity and purpose. I understand that when your body feels like a source of discomfort rather than a home, finding your way toward clarity and purpose can feel completely out of reach. My mission is to help you bridge that gap. Drawing on my experience as a teacher, I provide a grounded, supportive space for you to unravel deep-seated physical tension and quiet the mental noise that comes with burnout. Together, we move beyond the "survival mode" of daily exhaustion to help you reconnect with your inner rhythm, find lasting relief in your body, and rediscover the sense of direction and meaning you’ve been searching for. I am here to help you peel back the layers of fatigue so you can finally feel present, clear, and at peace in your own skin.

Graduated from beauty school as a wellbeing/beauty therapist. I then embarked on a plane to Tokyo and lived my best life over there for a year working in one the most known salons for expats.
Went back to school to study massage therapy and spa management in depth. Loved it. Went to Australia for a year thereafter.
My first level of Reiki energy healing. I was told by a client that my touch had something special. I drifted into the world of the subtle energies. A transformative training at Healing Hands in Edinburgh.
In the depth of COVID-19 lockdown and after over a year and a bit of Yoga practice, I decide to enroll in Eva Maxine Yin Yoga training online. Loved it so enrolled onto Yoga Renew online 200hrs Vinyasa training the same year.
I train in reiki level II and uplevel massively with the energy. Performing distance reiki on friends and clients around the world is so amazing. I also graduated from a Certificate in Counselling Skills at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. A very profound course to learn and deepen my knowledge in human psychology.
Inspired by my private Yoga teacher Jessi, I decide to follow in her footsteps and enroll onto Zuna Yoga, in-person 200hrs Yoga Teacher training in Bali. An experience that will shape me forever. I can onlyy say that this is the best(est) Yoga I have and will ever practice.
After studying for 4 years aside from my work, I finally graduate from a BSc(Hons) 1:1 Psychology and Counselling from the Open University. Very proud to have finally completed a university degree (I never finished mine in France) in a language that isn't my mothertongue.
I launch my own holistic business 'Samatva Therapies' in January 2024 in Move Better in Ayshire. I offer Yoga classes (group and private), I welcome many clients for massages and reiki. A year of massive growth and I love it. I fall pregnant and I need to slow down the pace a little bit. I discover Yoga Nidra and unveil its power, it truly changed my life (and my sleep!) and I take a training to teach it in July 2024 Our little baby Isla arrives in the world in February 2025 and I take a few months off to enjoy our baby bubble. This allows me to reflect on how business will continue... An after a long few months of soul searching: the Soulful Studio comes to me.
